ABOUT HEIDI
On the financial side, I am a tax specialist who has spent years helping investors and business owners make smarter decisions about real estate and wealth. My clients range from first time investors buying a single property to large family offices with equestrian facilities, NFL ownership stakes, and stadium developments on their books.
I am also a real estate investor myself, and the host of the SlashTax podcast, where I dig into the strategies most people never hear about. Over the years I have built a deep network of specialized CPAs, attorneys, and alternative investment experts across the country, and connecting the right expertise to the right question is a lot of what I do.
IN THE SADDLE
I am an aspiring Grand Prix dressage rider competing as an Adult Amateur, and I have earned my USDF Silver Medal along the way. I keep my horses at home, and I ride and train them myself. There is no shortcut for the hours in the saddle.
I have traveled across the Western United States to compete, showing in California, Nevada, and Utah, riding with coaches in Southern California, and getting into every clinic I can. I am not a professional, and I am not pretending to be. I am someone in the trenches of this sport, paying the bills and doing the work, just like the people I am writing for.
I kept meeting brilliant, successful horse people who were completely in the dark about the financial side of the thing they loved most, and I realized I was uniquely positioned to do something about it. I understand the tax code and I understand what it actually costs to chase a Grand Prix dream. Very few people sit in both chairs.
